Labs
The objectives of AI for Education Innovation lab include:
Identify approaches for using AI to enhance teaching and learning
Develop AI based models to support teaching
Leverage AI and ML techniques for identifying and developing evidence based methodologies in the areas of teaching, learning, and evaluation
Leverage AI to mitigate UFM cases
Identify other innovative applications of AI in Teaching and Learning
The AI for Education Innovation lab has been set up with a set of 4 computers, which are equipped with cutting edge AI software and related components to facilitate research in the above focus areas. To facilitate this, we have procured a High-performance HPE DL380 Gen10 Server equipped with Intel Xeon Gold 6148 processors, NVIDIA A100 80GB GPU, 256 GB Ram, and ample storage designed to deliver seamless LLM training and inference for transformative educational applications. The hardware is currently being used to train, finetune, pilot, and deploy various AI powered models and applications.
The Centre plans to set up a learning lab with the objective of facilitating collaborative discussions and controlled experimentation on teaching learning methodologies and fine-tuning the same before rollout. The Learning lab will be equipped with appropriate resources including hardware and software to support evidence-based research and analysis.
